King Crimson: Beat

LP Record Released in June 1982, just eight months after the 80s lineup's debut album "Discipline", "Beat" showcases the intricate polyrhythmic musical textures of 80s Crimson. The strength of the songs and the tight studio performance helped the band reach the top of the charts in the USA and the UK. It was perhaps the closest a band like King Crimson could ever get to the rock mainstream. As with previous albums in the King Crimson CD/DVD-A series, the CD features a new stereo mix by Robert Fripp and Steven Wilson, and the DVD-A includes a 5.1 mix of the album by Steven Wilson, plus high-resolution stereo versions of both the old and new mixes.
