King, Warrior, Magician, Lover

Four male archetypes. A simple and clear outline of the "instruction manual for the male psyche." Where are men's strengths and where do their weaknesses lie? This book seeks to rediscover, strengthen and support masculinity in men. According to the authors, masculinity is formed by four archetypal male energies that are innate to all men and serve different purposes. For a man to become a true man, he must go through the initiation from boy to man and develop all these powers: the King, the Warrior, the Magician, and the Lover. Mature masculinity is not power-hungry or violent, but powerful and creative. Along with Bly's Iron John, the book had a huge impact on the development of the men's movement.
