Kingdom of Fire - DVD

Matthew McConaughey (U-571) and Christian Bale (Captain Corelli's Mandolin) star in an action-packed, special effects-filled adventure that literally won't leave you breathless. While building a tunnel in London, scientists accidentally discover a creature that breathes, spits fire and has been hidden in an underground dungeon for centuries. Her prison is open and all hell is breaking loose in the city! Twelve-year-old Quinn (Bale) sees his mother trying in vain to escape death with the other workers. Twenty years later, Quinn is one of the scientists of the last remnants of the human population who have escaped and are hiding in the wilderness in their burrows. They are opposed by predator dragons that attack from the air, burn the ground and feed on the ashes of their victims. Unexpectedly, Van Zan (McConaughey), a warrior and adventurer, shows up at their fortress with only one plan: prepare your unit of warriors well and resist the dragons. An argument breaks out between Van Zane and Quinn over which is the right path: hide or put up a futile fight? There's not much time left.
