Koňaboj: It seemed to them, it seemed. - CD

Moravian world music band Koňaboj arranges traditional folk songs into a folk-rock style, while still preserving their clear original outlines. On the album Zdálo sa ně, zdálo., you will find fifteen of them. The sound that the band presents on this album is also noteworthy, based primarily on simple, very airy, and diverse arrangements.

And so, alongside drums, electric guitar, and violin, you will more often hear an acoustic guitar, mandolin, flute, piano, cimbalom, or melodica. The songs are built on a rawer sound and almost exclusively on female vocals—the more modern singing of Jiřina Šánová and the traditional folk expression of guest Anna Servická, who sings on almost half the songs. The unmistakable Roman Veverka and his cimbalom are also present.
