Kratochvíl & Ackerman & Zangi: Chronicle - CD

Another of the albums of the “acoustic formation“ of the duo Kratochvíl - Ackerman. In recent years, it has grown into a trio complemented by Imran Musa Zangi and today even a quartet, where Imran' s son Filip sits behind the second percussions. On the CD Letopis, this quartet was also strengthened in several compositions by the bass guitar of Přemysl Faukner from Jazz Q. It is far from just a purist sound of an acoustic piano with a wooden guitar, although this sound is also represented at the Chronicle. Kratochvíl does not resound its entire register of synthesizers, but it still reaches for CDs with the types of electric piano, and the resulting shape is complemented by several overdubbies. On the album we hear not only beautiful harmonies of jazz ballads, but also strongly rhythmic compositions amplified by double percussions of father and son Zangi.
