Kratochvíl Martin: Piano solo - CD

Album of twelve songs with author' s recordings. It was very difficult to choose the twelve best from the amount of music material once recorded with Jazz Q or Tony Ackerman. The main focus of the selection was the simple shape of the composition, which corresponds as much as possible to jazz standards or evergreens. A thing that is simple, easy to play, and characterized by a clear idea, either in melody or in harmony, becomes the standard. It is also malleable and can withstand many different reworkings, reharmonizations, rhythmic variations, etc. But most importantly: she is easy to remember and “entices“ the musician to play with her, to shape and change her, to project his musical taste, current mood, etc. into her.
