Lady Bird - DVD

If you wanted to simply categorize Christine, you would classify her as a rebel. She's not particularly pretty and masks her acne-filled face with pink hair. She is not particularly clever and compensates for this deficit by claiming to have artistic inclinations. Probably the most interesting thing about her is that as a symbol of defiance she refuses her first name, calls herself Lady Bird and wants everyone else to call her that.
When we first meet her, we witness her brutal argument with her mother, after which she angrily gets out of the car. A moving one. And yet, this perpetually grumpy girl with the broken arm (the result of the above incident) is actually a sensitive soul who just wants to fall in love and find the meaning of life properly, and is just nervous that she hasn't been very successful at either yet.
