Fans of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin can look forward to previously unreleased recordings in the first batch of re-released studio albums. The reissue, personally prepared by guitarist Jimmy Page, will start on June 3 with Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II and Led Zeppelin III. Each of the albums will be supplemented by a second disc with unreleased songs that are related to the original albums.
“The material on the backing records is the timeline for Led Zeppelin' s recordings,“ Page said. “It is a selection of ongoing projects with rough mixes, accompanying recordings, alternative versions and new material that we recorded at the time. “On the backing disc for 1969 ' s debut album, Led Zeppelin, there will be an unreleased performance in October of that year in Paris.
The nine-track ensemble contains seven songs from the album, including a fifteen-minute version of the song Dazed And Confused. On the addition to the Led Zeppelin II album, fans will find most of the well-known songs, including Ramble On, Hearthbreaker and Whole Lotta Love. Led Zeppelin III will be accompanied by nine tracks, three of which will be previously unpublished compositions of Jennings Farm Blues, Bathroom Sound and Keys To The Highway / Trouble In Mind.
The new edition is to contain everything from the debut album to the last album Coda, which was released in 1982, ie after the death of drummer John Bonham and the dissolution of the band.
