Level 42: Collected

LP Record The musicians of Level 42 started their career as a jazz-funk fusion band in the UK in the early 1980s. Its founders were Mark King and the Gould brothers (Phil and Rowland). During the Brit-funk era, the trio met Mike Lindup and Wally Badarou (who became an honorary member) and went into the studio to record their first single, "Love Meeting Love". Their second single, "Love Games", broke into the UK Top 40 and was also successful in Europe. Other minor hits followed, such as "The Sun Goes Down (Living It Up)" and "Hot Water", but their big break came in 1985 with the song "Something About You". This single was Level 42's first US hit and sold well on both sides of the ocean.
