Life Underwater - DVD

Meet Steve Zissou (Bill Murray), legendary underwater explorer, notorious braggart and a man renowned worldwide for his documentaries about the exuberant life in the blue deep. However, fate has not been kind to the famous oceanographer lately - his best friend and long-time collaborator Esteban was recently eaten by a hungry jaguar shark, and Zissou is beginning to hear that he is slowly losing his zest for life. But then Ned Plimpton (Owen Wilson), a Southern gentleman, suddenly appears, claiming that he may - or may not - be Steve's long-lost son, whom he never had the chance to meet. Overbearing, egotistical and endearingly deranged, Zissou is ready to make a film that surpasses all his previous documentaries in its magnificence. A film in which he takes revenge on a jaguar shark, becomes a father and, for a few fleeting moments, regains a sense of his own specialness.
