Long dead

DI Sheridan Holler is used to solving crimes on the streets of Liverpool, but when a decomposed body appears in a cemetery, she finds herself reopening not one, but two cold cases. Seven years ago, two women were shot and the only suspect, small-time drug dealer John Lively, was never seen again. The case is closed. Until the body in the cemetery is identified as his.
Holler must figure out if Lively was killed in revenge, or if he just became another victim of the criminal world he inhabited. When shocking evidence about the murder weapon comes to light, this cold case starts to look hopeless once again.
But failure is not an option. Driven by the unsolved and traumatising murder of her brother when they were children, DI Holler relentlessly pursues justice. As old wounds are reopened, the police are on the killer's trail, but the threat of them striking again is all too real. Can DI Holler piece the puzzle together before someone else dies?
