Madla z brickny - DVD

The film is based on a play by Olga Scheinpflug, who obviously had a lot of fun writing it. The Pygmalion theme of how to make a simple girl into a lady of high society was very popular. In this story, Baron Jan Dolanský seeks a healthy and strong bride for his nephew Max in order to revive the genes of their family. He finds a crush on Madla, whom he brings to the castle, where her transformation into a perfect young lady begins. However, this brings with it many comical situations and catchphrases that will have you laughing long after the film is over. The film was partially shot in Slapy and you can see the brickworks at Závista and the Slapy castle.
