Marillion: Afraid Of Sunlight (5x LP) - LP

A reissue of the band's eighth album on 5LP or 4CD+BR. Afraid of Sunlight was released in 1995. It is the last album the band released for the EMI record label. It is also the first album that did not make it into the UK Top 10 album chart, peaking at number sixteen.

Despite this, it is one of the most critically acclaimed albums in the band's entire discography. The reissue contains a new version of the recording mixed by Michael Hunter in 2019, the original recording by producer Dave Meegan, and a concert from the Rotterdam Ahoy arena in September 1995.

The Blu-ray disc features the original recording and its various audio formats (48/24 DTS 5.1 Mix, 48/24 LPCM Stereo Remix, 48/24 LPCM 5.1 Mix), as well as a video track with interviews, a new documentary, and the promo film for Beautiful. In addition, there are nine bonus tracks from the 1999 reissue and seventeen previously unreleased rare tracks.

The British band Marillion is one of the best-known representatives of progressive rock. The band was formed in 1979 and became a link between the post-punk wave and the progressive rock scene. In the eighties, they became the most commercially successful neo-prog rock band! Marillion's career can be divided into two eras – before and after 1988, when original frontman Derek William Dick, known as Fish, left the band.
