MarZ: MarZ - CD

The eponymous album of the band MarZ. The name of the musical group originated from the initials of its frontwoman, young singer and guitarist Markéta Zdeňková, who is also the author of all songs and mostly Czech lyrics. But the band' s name evokes the planet of our system and at the same time the Roman god Martha - the god of war, confrontation, and also the month of March, March), Spring, new beginning. The listener can find all this in the music of this distinctive author - from the mysterious heritage of ancestors through trouble with a shy lover to a meditative voyage through space.

From the beginning, MarZ was an integral part of the multi-instrumentalist, especially the excellent trombonist and singer Štěpán Janoušek (they recorded the CD Na rozcestí, Amplión records 2017 in the duo). Two years ago, the band expanded to include other prominent musicians, Dalibor Hrubeš (guitars), Miloš Klápště (bass guitar, synthesizer, vocals) and Jakub Šindler (drums), who, with their new musical ideas and improvisation, enrich Markéta' s songs with another dimension.
