Metallica announces release of live album S & M2 is a San Francisco Symphony and now releases new versions of All Within My Hands and Nothing Else Matters.

Legendary metal band Metallica & The San Francisco Symphony will jointly release the live album S & M2.

S & Concerts M2 September 6 and 8, 2019 were a historic moment from several perspectives - not only were they the grand opening of San Francisco' s Chase Center, but they reunited the band and symphony orchestra for the first time since their 1999 performance on the Grammy-winning album the first ever symphonic rendition of Metallica' s songs. Concerts sold out and enthusiastically received by 40,000 fans who came to the band from 70 countries around the world. Celebrities and the media evaluated the concerts with the words: “The band has proven that anything is possible,“ or “We witnessed a concert that will be talked about for another decade to come. ”

The album is a groundbreaking version in the band' s catalog, both audio and visual. The production was taken care of by Greg Fidelman and with him by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. The live album captures more than two and a half hours of recording, with James, Lars, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo performing together with 80-member SF Symphony, legendary orchestra music director Michael Tilson Tomas and conductor Edwin Outwater. The concert recording is a brand new edition recorded by Joe Hutching. The album is available in advance now and is accompanied by two new versions of the hits “All Within My Hands“ and “Nothing Else Matters, which can be found on digital platforms.
