Michael's Uncle: Swine - LP

Michael's Uncle (also known as Majklův strýček) is known among Czech audiences as a domestic pioneer of the hardcore style. The band started playing in 1987 and from the beginning produced raw, wild rock, sometimes saturated with noise improvisations. Michael's Uncle recorded their first studio album, Svině! (Pigs!), while the country was still a communist republic (1988).

It contains very diverse, guitar-rich musical material. The Czech lyrics often have a political and social context that is still generally valid today. The album was recorded by the band in the line-up: Amrit Sen – vocals, Petr Stanko – guitar, Jarda Stuchlý – drums, Sid Hošek – bass guitar, Johny Chaos – guitar. After leaving M.U., the latter two founded the band Plexis. The original line-up featured Karel Jančák on first guitar, who left to join the band Půlnoc and later remained permanently in the USA.

The title Michael's Uncle – Svině! was released in 1992 on CD, LP and MC. The record is original and has the original labels, the sleeve is also an original pressing on heavier paper, with a lyric sheet inserted inside.
