Milan Uhde: Ballad for a bandit

Milan Uhde's famous musical about a great love and an even greater betrayal, about men in whom anger has taken up residence and about women who know how to lick and bite the anger out of these men and exterminate them. One of the listeners of the original mono recording was comrade Alois Indra, who requested that the recording be sent to Prague. Fears of this interest proved to be false, as this leading representative of the then ruling establishment found a liking for the work and instructed that the production of Ballad of a Bandit be made as a stereo recording in a Brno studio. It so happened that Ballad for a Bandit was officially the first radio play recorded in stereo in a Brno studio.
