Miles Davis: A Tribute To Jack Johnson

LP Record Miles Davis's "A Tribute to Jack Johnson" is the greatest jazz-rock record of all time. Inspired both by the bandleader's desire to assemble "the greatest rock 'n' roll band you ever heard" and his reverence for Johnson, Davis created a hard-hitting set that is full of excitement, intensity, majesty, and power. Merging the electric fusion he pursued on earlier tracks with a funkier, grittier rhythmic approach, Davis focuses on concepts of spontaneity, freedom, and identity rarely achieved in the studio.
