Miles Davis: 'Round About Midnight Ltd Clr

LP Record The Miles Davis Quintet was formed in 1955 and is considered one of the greatest groups in the history of jazz. Each of its members was an individual creative force who could have easily taken the lead. "Philly Joe and Red Garland were the same age," Miles explained in his autobiography, "about three years older than me. Me and Coltrane were born in the same year, though I was a little older. Paul Chambers was the baby in the group, only twenty years old, but he played like he'd been there forever. And Red, too; he gave me that light Ahmad Jamal touch and some Erroll Garner, along with his own shit in all of it. So that's what happened."
