Miles Davis: Rubberband - CD

Lost and now found, the album Miles Davis began recording in 1985 as his first for Warner Bros is now being released in all its glory for the first time. The album also features guest vocalists Lalah Hathaway and Ledisi.

Miles Davis was an American jazz trumpeter, composer, and leader of several jazz ensembles. He is one of the most distinctive figures in 20th-century music. In the 1940s, he was one of the founders of cool jazz, then hard bop in the 1950s, and at the end of the 1960s, he was at the roots of jazz-rock. The 1970 album Bitches Brew is considered a landmark for this genre. Thanks to his ability to play almost every note as if by chance and in passing, he is sometimes nicknamed the “prince of darkness”. Because he switched between (and fundamentally influenced or co-founded) several jazz movements during his career, he is sometimes called a “jazz chameleon”. In 2006, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
