Miss Hanoi - DVD

Captain Kříž (David Novotný) arrives in Varnsdorf to investigate a murder, and it soon becomes clear that the trail leads to the local Vietnamese community. Someone has tried to cover up the real motive.
A young police officer (Ha Thanh Špetlíková) becomes his open door into a world governed by the rules of trade, family clans, and hierarchies, a world also divided by a language barrier. She is an emancipated woman who has decided to live life on her own terms, while he is an ageing, sarcastic investigator for whom work is the only anchor left in his life. This mismatched pair not only unravels the mystery of a crime where one murder points to another, but they also find a way to understand and respect each other. Both face a fateful decision: whether to side with strong family traditions or with justice.
