Molavcová Jitka: Pop Gallery

The best of both the girl with the guitar and the semaphore comedy heroine at once!

In the beginning she was a chanson fan, followed by a successful attempt at a pop career, and finally came Semaphore, the definitive meaning of the search. We know Molavcová as a sympathetic singer with a talent for brilliantly punctuating her lyrics, but also as Jiří Suchý's plain-spoken partner in a number of theatre productions and as a slightly goofy TV presenter beloved by children.

It starts with the tender I'll Give You a Rose and ends with a joking bonus with a solo on the waltz. In between are twenty songs for a voice that is perhaps not breathtaking in scope, but for a performer with great charm and wit. She was found in the comedy song Hey, Tones, as well as in What You Give Me J. Kosmy and J. Prévert. The rhymes Now Guess can meet the compositions of J. Uhlíř, you will find here the works of E. F. Burian and his son Jan, L. Staidl and J. Plumbers. The Semaphore engagement was reflected in Ferdinand Havlík's music and Jiří Suchý's lyrics, and the singer herself contributed the occasional pearl.

It's a good mood inducer, it's Jitka Molavcová!
