Monkees: Monkees (2x LP) - LP

Vinyl reissue of the first album of the American band of the same name. It was released in October 1966 and was the first of four consecutive US number one albums for The Monkees. It also topped the UK charts in 1967. The reissue is expanded with a lot of bonus material.

American rock band Monkees was formed in 1965 in Los Angeles. It was formed specifically for a television series of the same name depicting the story of an imaginary group who want to be like the Beatles. According to the members, the Monkees were never a full band: "The Monkees were a real band about as much as Leonard Nimoy was a Vulcan. "Yet the Monkees have become one of the most successful ensembles in music history. They have sold 75 million records worldwide and recorded a string of hits including Last Train To Clarksville, Pleasant Valley Sunday and I'm Believer.
