Monsters of the Deep - DVD

Monsters of the Deep - DVD
Are these monsters a figment of our imagination or are they living relics of prehistoric times? In this programme you will see the first documented discovery of a sea serpent, which was spotted in 1639 on Cape Ann, Massachusetts. His head was larger than a horse's and his body was 1830cm long.
We will tell the story of the catch of a prehistoric fish called the Coelacanth off the coast of Africa. This fish is believed to have gone extinct 70 million years ago, but is no longer on the extinct species list. We will also show the best footage of the sea monster, a 16mm colour film shot by a fisherman off the coast near Vancouver, Canada. The University of British Columbia confirms that footage of a giant animal emerging head first above the surface is "an unknown animal to science". It was named "Cadborosaurus".
