In a few hundred years, the world will be just a dying inhospitable wasteland, crisscrossed by giant machines on wheels, whose primary endeavor is to find the remaining sources of livelihoods and raw materials. The original cities were transformed into these monsters. The seats on the bikes are full of people and the largest and most powerful of them is London. It is also growing due to the absorption of smaller machines that appear in its path.

This is how Hester Shaw ( Hera Hilmar ), a mysterious girl with a scarred face, finds herself in London. The only thing she doesn' t seem to mind is that London has swallowed her hometown. Thanks to this, Hester found herself close to his ruler Thaddeus Valentin ( Hugo Weaving ), with whom he has outstanding accounts in the past.
But even Thaddeus is glad to see Hester. The girl holds an object with which he could become the most powerful man in the world. And because Thaddeus has a slightly greater firepower than she does, Hester finds himself on the run, accompanied by a desperately impractical bookworm and renegade, with a huge reward on his head.
