Moving feast
A Moveable Feast, in which the author recalls the exuberant years he spent in Paris, was not published until 1964, posthumously. His memoiristic sketches evocatively capture the atmosphere of the city in the 1920s and include portraits of many personalities from the art world, such as Francis Scott Fitzgerald, James Joyce and Ezra Pound. Hemingway began writing the work in 1957 in Cuba; it is the book of a man who, in a time of growing internal crisis, looks back to the years when he was brimming with vitality and writerly enthusiasm.
