Mugby Junction

Everyone hates the refreshment room at Mugby Junction; it's terrible. But the staff is convinced they're running a great operation. When their boss returns from abroad to report that French refreshment rooms actually accommodate guests as best they can, serve them edible food, and are generally nice, the staff is shocked.

And so unfolds The Boy at Mugby, one of eight short stories in Mugby Junction written by Charles Dickens and a handful of other authors. The collection also includes the famous ghost story The Signal-Man, which the ninth Doctor Who, played by Christopher Eccleston, called "The best short story ever written."
