My year 1971

Welcome to 1971! It was a time of taking on special weekend shifts and teams competing for the title of 'Socialist Labour Brigade'. In this year, František Venclovský became the first Czechoslovak to swim the English Channel, the film 'Orlie pierko' ('Eagle Feather') was made, and the 'Divadlo na korze' ('Theatre on the Promenade') was closed. Unsurprisingly, Lasica, Satinský, and their colleagues were simply undesirable. The most successful Czechoslovak sportsman was Ondrej Nepela, Karol Dobiaš was footballer of the year, and athlete Dušan Moravčík finished second at the European Championships.
