Nevermore & Cosmonaut: XCR-9 Rocket Songs - CD

This 2020 album by the band Nevermore & Kosmonaut, titled XCR-9 with the subtitle "Songs for a Rocket," was recorded before the band's planned journey to the far reaches of the nearest Universe.
The record carries a message about people, imagination, determination, and doubts before a long mission with a specific goal but no probable return. It is only when you are losing something that you realise what is important.
The space journey itself is illustrated by ten pictures from the acclaimed artist Jindřich Janíček, which are part of the elaborate booklet. The pictures are interconnected and tell the story and secrets of their space journey.

The album features nine original songs, as well as a non-musical intermezzo, which the legendary astronomer Jiří Grygar recorded as a space greeting for the band. In addition to the voice of singer Michal "Kosmonaut" Šimíček, you will also hear the band's guitarist, Pavel Karas (the song Bledě modrá tečka), and guest singer Lada Šimíčková (Slova) on the album. The music of XCR-9 crosses genres and combines a range of musical influences.
