New Bořík's lapses

Bořík and his friends never get old - it doesn't matter too much whether they are nine years old or whether they have already moved into the teenage years, as in the brand new series of twenty-seven stories. They think more about their future now, have fewer reservations about girls and are more interested in how to win them over. Our heroes are naturally entrepreneurial and trying to make some money. The spirit of the times could not fail to influence them, but their "beggarly" activities are, as usual, laughter-inducing antics. No wonder, since the boys set about them under the guidance of Bořík's uncle, the inventor Chrobák, a well-known expert on explosions, not only chemical ones. Thanks to him, there is never a shortage of disasters on the permanent family battlefield, and not only with Bořík. Situational humour, slapstick, Bořík's instructive lessons given to his parents and gratefully received by them - in all of this, "Bořík's" remains an enticing and proven read. EDITOR'S NOTE (at the end of the book in the 1st edition of 2002) Time has an interesting property: now it goes fast, now it goes slow, and sometimes it seems to stop. This is exactly what happened to the legendary four friends, the eternal boys Bořík, Čenda, Mirek and Aleš. In real life, they would be well over forty, but in Vojtěch Steklace's stories, they don't age and still remain in school classrooms. Their crazy ideas never leave them and the number of lapses in their account only increases.
