New Order: Murder - LP

As part of a reissue campaign, four 12-inch singles from the British post-punk and new wave group New Order are now available. One of them is Murder from 1984. It is an instrumental track which also uses sound clips from the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. The recording has been newly remastered for this release.

One of the most important bands in British music history was formed in 1980. Following the death of singer Ian Curtis, the remaining members of the legendary Joy Division founded the group. New Order initially combined post-punk with electronica, later experimenting mainly with what modern technology had to offer. Their 1983 hit Blue Monday remains the best-selling 12-inch single of all time.
