New Order: Thieves Like Us - LP

As part of a re-release campaign, four 12-inch singles from the British post-punk and new wave group New Order are now available. One of them is 1983's Thieves Like Us, named after Robert Altman's 1974 film of the same name. The recording has been newly remastered for this release.

One of the most important bands in British music history was formed in 1980. After the death of singer Ian Curtis, it was founded by the remaining members of the legendary Joy Division. New Order initially combined post-punk with electronica, later experimenting mainly with what modern technology had to offer. Their 1983 hit Blue Monday remains the best-selling 12-inch single of all time.
