The sacred halls of the Natural History Museum are full of the most amazing exhibits - wild-looking prehistoric creatures, ruthless ancient warriors, long-extinct tribes, African animals and legendary historical heroes - all standing motionless, frozen forever in time. Or not? In the action-adventure comedy NIGHT IN THE MUSEUM, the new night watchman discovers that the real adventure begins only when the door slams behind the last visitor and the seemingly motionless exhibits begin to enjoy the wild night rides. The fantastic adventure begins when Larry Daley (BEN STILLER) - a bankrupt dreamer who has never found much use with his inventive ideas - begins to look for an ordinary job under the pressure of adverse circumstances. Larry always believed he was destined for great deeds. However, he has no idea how colossal and dangerous his task was when he reluctantly accepted the job of a night watchman in the museum. Before the first shift, he gets a large flashlight, a touched manual, and is left alone in a haunted and giant museum.

The night came at the Smithsonian Institution Museum in Washington. The guards went home, the lights went out, and the children' s visitors were at home in their beds. yet there is a strange rumble in the “empty“ museum. Former night watchman Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) is once again drawn into an hard-to-imagine adventure in which history itself comes to life. The story begins when Larry left his poorly paid job as a security guard at a museum and became a sought-after inventor. He finally seems to have everything he desires, yet he lacks something in life. Something drags him back to the museum, where he liked it, where he once had a unique magical night. Larry has no idea that in the meantime, his favorite exhibits (and at the same time his best friends) are already considered obsolete. And so, packed in crates, they await transportation to huge depositories at the world' s largest museum, the Smithsonian Museum in Washington. Their next fate is so suddenly very uncertain - just until one of them, a miniature cowboy Jedediah (Owen Wilson), calls Larry and describes the impending catastrophe.
