Nightwork: Respectmaja / New Version / 09 - CD

Nightwork was a predominantly Czech-singing music group, which was formed as a pretext for the truancy of their founders František Soukup and Emil Kopta.

The name was created by an English translation of the words “night work“ and thus expresses the temporal origin of her musical work. Probably a lesser known but original name, NightWork, gradually overshadowed the simplified designation.

The majority of the band consisted of professional actors whose goal was to connect music with theater.

They then pointed this out at their concerts and presented their group as an “entertainment band“. Its members reveled in recession and pathos, which they used extensively in their artistic work.
