Nils Frahm: Spaces

LP Record Berlin-based pianist Nils Frahm has become a star of the international neoclassical scene thanks to his uniquely intimate recordings. However, his studio albums are just a fraction of what to expect at a Nils Frahm concert. Frahm's heart lies in improvisation, in the magic of the moment where his fingers, inspired by the space and the audience, create new compositions. "Spaces" is an ode to the joy of live performance, an expression of the delight in experimentation, and a response to his fans' requests for a record that reflects the experience of a Nils Frahm concert. Unlike a conventional live album, "Spaces" was recorded over two years using portable reel-to-reel and cassette recorders in various locations.
