Nursing care in surgery

The book deals with the issue of nursing care in surgery. It is divided into general and special sections. In the general part, the individual chapters outline an introduction to surgical nursing, perioperative care, wound care, and also mention the issue of psychological support for patients in surgery. A special section deals with nursing care of patients with selected surgical diseases. The individual chapters provide a comprehensive overview of the subject. The basic characteristics of the selected disease are followed by the management of patient care in the period before and especially after surgery, taking into account the specifics of nursing care in selected diseases. The book is intended primarily for students of nursing and related disciplines in undergraduate studies, but can also serve practitioners for further education. The authors drew the knowledge contained in the book from foreign and domestic sources and from their own clinical practice.
