Olympic: Constellation of the Madmen - CD

A new album for the second fifty of the band! If the archive records do not deceive, it is the eighteenth studio work of Olympik, marked by this year' s sadness from the tragic departure of drummer Peroutka (the album is dedicated to him), but also by the desire not to end rock and roll.

At the beginning of the summer, Petr Janda offered his colleagues in the band more than twenty songs created in a strong compositional “lauf“. In the end, 14 of them were selected together, some of them were directly textured by Janda himself, ten times significantly helped by Eduard Krečmar, Karel Šíp, Miroslav Černý or Aleš Brichta. Together, they hit the mood of most of the songs unmistakably Olympic and partly nostalgic. But no gloomy dumplings take place: years have increased, strength has declined somewhat, but the big-beat theme of music, feminine, occasional booze, and adult romance has been preserved.

Fans will find here very fresh-sounding echoes of almost all phases of the history of Olympics. Some melodies and vocals are pure sixties, other times the hard rock sound with the rhythm of Broum / Vajgl (regular guest on drums) and Valent' s keyboards will prevail, traditionally fast-remembering refrains are never missing. In the logic of the matter, it' s all mostly about Jand' s composer, singer and guitarist, because the collective message goes through him: We are still here and we offer you new hits. Otherwise, for example, to mark the songs My Lord / Rock Prayer /, I' m not bad, I' m just going, I don' t have to be afraid of you or The Empty House really doesn' t work.

An honest dose of Olympic nostalgia and new energy!
