Oncology

Oncology is a dynamically developing field. This publication provides a comprehensive overview of the options for oncological treatment at the present time. It is intended for medical students, whom it should acquaint primarily with the basics of non-surgical treatment of the most common malignant solid tumours in adults. The textbook is divided into a general and a special part. The introductory chapters explain the nature of the origin of malignant diseases, describe the principles and indications of modern treatment, the principles of nutrition in oncology patients, hereditary tumour symptoms, and so on. The chapters of the special part are devoted to individual diagnoses, their occurrence, pathology, diagnostics, symptomatology, treatment, and post-treatment complications.
