Opposites
In her most famous prose, Contradictions, the author does not try to convince us that something is good and something is bad; after all, that is also the philosophy of her Činčin. In it, Jang Kwidzha tried to show, in addition to her personal ambivalence, the paranoia of the entire generation she admired, prosperous Korea of the late 20th century, in which man is a function, it's, how does it look No one is curious about his personality. The question that Činčin is addressing is how to survive without having to be too ashamed of herself. Jang Kwidža built the novel in consistent oppositions; not only the characters, but the entire plot are built into tense contradictions. Opposites create a whole and from the original unity they emerge: Mother and Aunt Činčin are identical twins with completely opposite destinies and produce seemingly incompatible children, spouses and lifestyles. In the end, it becomes clear how silk can become a prison and how much a drunkard and idle husband is loved. The book talks about how a person is born somewhere to someone, and until they understand their genes, they will not stop wandering down false paths. A text with romantic origins is not romantic at all; Thanks to his irony and hyperbole, he is loved even by die-hard romantics in Korea.
