Singer-songwriter Mirek Paleček fulfilled his dream in the year of his upcoming seventieth birthday! After decades of admiration and concert playing, he recorded fifteen songs from the repertoire of Jaroslav Ježek, Jiří Voskovec and Jan Werich. Paleček, however, has invented a very frequent theme, from shellac originals to the orchestra of Karel Vlach or Helena Vondráčková to swinging young men, in his own way. "While others took the path of big sound, big voice and big arrangements, I took a simpler path and went straight for the song. ”

With the help of a studio crew of friends led by guitarist Pavel Fořt (see also Flamengo or Karel Gott), he offers recordings that are very pleasant to listen to. They are V + W + J in the form beloved by the nation from home music-making, evening campfires and boating trips. The current version for, since the days of the legendary duo Paleček and Janík, the unmistakable voice and small instrumentation (guitars, bass guitar and guest accordion or saw) are a lovingly done honest craft. From Civilization to Life is Just a Chance, it's a sympathetically simple but decidedly non-trivial rendition of great songs, rightly essential to several generations of admirers.
