Pantáta Bezoušek - DVD
Josef Bezoušek went to Prague to visit his son, a lawyer. His son, daughter-in-law and granddaughters welcomed him with open arms. Pantata will soon get used to his new surroundings. He enjoys walks and city attractions.
Unwittingly, however, he becomes entangled in the story of the forbidden love of his son's sister-in-law, who loves a poor young man. Her father gets angry at Bezoušek for supporting her in her love. Pantata tries to settle the whole matter to the benefit of the unhappy lovers. The film shows part of the production of "The Bartered Bride" at the National Theatre directed by Josef Munzlinger. This theme was already developed in Czech film under the same title by director Karel Lamac in 1926.
