Perich Tristan: Drift Multiply - CD

Drift Multiply, Tristan Perich' s greatest work to date, is composed of fifty violins and fifty speakers and is conducted by Douglas Perkins.

The composition, evaluated as a hundred individual musical lines, combines violins and speakers into a cascading tapestry of tone, harmony and noise. The violin plays from sheet music, while the speakers are connected to their own circuit boards programmed to output 1-bit sound, the most basic digital waves made only of ones and zeros.
