Episode in the Life of the Artist Opus 14, usually subtitled Symphonie fantastique (Fantastic Symphony).
Symphony written in 1830. It is widely regarded as one of the most important and representative works of early Romanticism and is still very popular with symphonic audiences around the world. The first performance took place at the Paris Conservatoire in December 1830. The work was repeatedly revised between 1831 and 1845.
