Pets and their famous owners

In this charming collection of stories, you will learn about the animal companions of some of history's most significant personalities. For example, the dachshund named Lump, for whom Pablo Picasso had a soft spot; Frida Kahlo's fawn in her patio, which she immortalised in her paintings; Jofi, the canine psychoanalyst who assisted Freud during his sessions with patients; the parrot Bibo, to whom Albert Einstein told jokes to cheer it up; or Choupette, the Birman cat with whom designer Karl Lagerfeld fell so in love that he bequeathed his fortune to her.

PETS AND THEIR HUMAN COMPANIONS is a book about the strong bonds between great creators and their beloved animals, which entered their studios or studies and left a mark on their lives and works. A kind, humorous, and sometimes touching look at the unique connection between human genius and the distinctive personality of animals.
