Piano - DVD

DVD Film - A breathtaking and gripping drama awarded three Oscars and the Palme d'Or at Cannes. Passion is a force against which we are powerless. A mute Ada and her illegitimate daughter Flora arrive from England to meet a new man in the inhospitable environment of white settlers in New Zealand. He brings with him his beloved piano, without which he cannot exist. The strange, withdrawn woman doesn't get along with her businessman husband Stewart. She succumbs to subtle pressure from another man who bought her instrument from Stewart. Obsessively in love, Baines gradually sells the piano to Ada, and she pays for it with increasing looseness. However, it is less and less enforced.
