Pink Floyd: Pulse (2006 Edition) (2x CD) - CD

“Pulse“ is the third concert album by the British band Pink Floyd. It was released in May 1995 and ranked first in both the British and American charts. It was recorded on tour for The Division Bell during 1994.

After the release of the studio album The Division Bell, the band went on tour with their accompanying musicians, which took place from March to October 1994 (they also played in Prague in September). The live album Pulse captures the form of concerts held in October 1994 at London' s Earls Court, where the set list was changed: During the second half of the concert, Pink Floyd played the entire album The Dark Side of the Moon, which was not the case at other performances. However, recordings of individual songs come from various concerts from 1994.

The album Pulse therefore contains a complete live version of the album The Dark Side of the Moon. Also of interest is the presence of the song “Astronomy Domine“, composed by the original guitarist and singer of the band Syd Barrett in 1967, and Pink Floyd has not played it in concerts since the early 70' s. In addition to songs from the current album The Division Bell, Pulse also contains other songs, especially well-known hits from previous records.

In addition to CD (2CD), Pulse was also released on LP (4LP) and MC (2MC). Vinyl records and audio cassettes also contain the song “One of These Days“ (included for “Another Brick in the Wall, Part II“) in addition to the CD, the cassettes are supplemented by the song “Soundscape“ (for “Run Like Hell“), which was played before the concert.

The booklet contains many photos from the tour. The original release of Pulse had a flashing LED on the CD cover showing the rhythm of the beating heart (track “Speak to Me“).

Along with the concert album, a video of the same name was released.
