Pistolman

The first installment of the giant Dark Tower saga that Stephen King has been writing since his student days

The title character, the gunslinger Roland, is the last gunman of a ghostly world lost monstrously far in the future. It is a world devastated both physically and morally, giving the impression that it is hell and its inhabitants the souls of sinners. And it is the truth of this world, whether it is the real underworld or just a terrifying alternative to our world, that Roland is stubbornly searching for.

Stephen King

The famous American author started writing very early. His stories are inspired by life events, starting with the sudden departure of his father from his family and continuing with the change of different professions or moving. While studying at university, he not only wrote short stories but also published in magazines. After the successful publication of his 1972 novel Carrie, he decided to pursue a writing career and wrote over thirty books. But fate spoke again when King was hit by a car. He had to interrupt his work for a long time, but then managed to build on his previous success. Several of his books have been made into films, the most acclaimed being the Oscar-winning The Shawshank Redemption.

Libor Terš

Actor and dubber Libor Terš has been working with his voice all his life. Early in his career he worked as a puppeteer and also appeared in television films. The audience remembered his voice from American movies, as well as from the series Dr. House, where he spoke the part of Dr. Wilson. He also frequently dubs characters in animated films and TV series (Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon and others). He loaded King's Dark Tower series for Audioteca.
