Poláková, Barbora: ZE.MĚ - LP

The second studio album by the popular singer and actress Bára Poláková.

New with the ambiguous name ZE. ME was created just like my debut in collaboration with the sought-after producer Jan P. Muchowem. And Muchow, together with Poláková and her bandleader and keyboardist David Hlaváč, are the ones who have a key role in the final form of the album.
In contrast to her debut, this time Poláková herself sang the entire album in all twelve songs with the help of a seven-member children' s choir. Another novelty is the use of a string orchestra, which contributes to the impressive colour and depth of the individual compositions. After all, ingenious and colourful arrangements, together with (compared to the debut) greater genre openness, are one of the distinctive hallmarks of new songs.

Undoubtedly, the next is Barbora Poláková' s distinctive poetics, which goes beyond all categories and would hardly look for competition on the domestic scene. Unexpected connections, playfulness, but also lightness and civility, with which he glosses over his own world and what is happening around us, they are so original and contagious, that many of them have the potential to become popular, similar to the message from Nafrená “when it is called breast, I know it.
