Porter Gregory: All Rise (2x LP) - LP

All Rise is the 2020 album from one of the most successful jazz artists of his generation, singing sensation and Grammy winner Gregory Porter.

The flagship single from the record is the track Revival, which, among other things, pays tribute to Freddie Gray, who became a victim of police violence against African Americans. The album was produced by Troy Miller, who has worked with artists such as Calvin Harris, Rag'n'Bone Man, and Amy Winehouse.

All Rise follows the success of the album Nat King Cole & Me, a tribute to Gregory's great inspiration, jazz musician and singer Nat King Cole, which reached number three in the UK charts. On his latest record, however, Porter returns to his classic songwriting style—a mix of jazz, soul, blues, and gospel—but becomes more emotional, empathetic, and much more intimate.

Gregory Porter has captivated audiences primarily with his warm, soulful voice. "My own voice was soothing to me as a child. I think people like listening to me because my voice has the same effect on them. Through my songs, I try to heal myself," explains Gregory, who won a Grammy for the albums Liquid Spirit and Take Me to The Alley, earning him the title of one of the biggest and most distinctive names on the jazz scene and becoming one of the most sought-after singers. Porter regularly sells out concerts and is invited to prestigious television shows, such as The Graham Norton Show and the BBC Music Awards. He has become an adopted treasure of Britain, has sung for the Queen herself several times, and has performed at major music festivals like Glastonbury. Thanks to his ability to cross and blend genres, he created one of Ibiza's most popular dance tracks, Liquid Spirit - Claptone Remix.
