Finding a record with a more troubled destiny is quite difficult: The magpie in his hand became a testament to the great talent of the musicians and the stupidity of the communist system.
The recording from 1982 had to wait a long time for an official chance due to the rigid normalization.
We loved the unmistakably Czech new-wave cut performed by highly experienced musicians on illegal cassettes, but the real opportunity did not come until 1988 in the form of an LP by Panton.

Just an ironic recession or casual fun? Add to that the extraordinary instrumental skills of musicians with, above all, jazz rock experience. Messrs. Michael Kocáb (singing, keys), Michal Pavlíček (guitar, bass guitar, singing), Vilém Čok (bass guitar, singing) and Jiří Hrubeš (drums) they were not from the chain of tearing off teens. Their compositions, arrangements and stage performances were therefore thoughtfully even dada, but also musically brilliant. In conjunction with smoothly fitting, welcome nonsense themes and rhymes F. R. The Czech Republic developed a rock phenomenon, to which the Bolshevik obstructions gave an anti-regime touch.

Despite a large number of different stories about the great success, the subsequent restrictions, and even the interventions of VB members at very eccentric concerts, the music is still the most important music on Strace. Undoubtedly influenced by the healing perhaps new-wave, but above all based on surprising ideas, considerable compositional and instrumental prowess as well as texts with an unexpectedly even dadaist impact.
Count X, At Wenceslas Wenceslas Square, Praguers are hey, Zubatá, Why just me or Tango Ropotama, but in fact all of the cassettes of the nation' s song, they are still an excellent testimony of that (un) time.
